Donsötank is a family-owned company, established in 1953. Our head office is located on Donsö, in the archipelago of Gothenburg. Europe is our main market. We offer safe and sustainable shipping with modern, Swedish-flagged vessels that are at the forefront of both sustainability and technology.
The family business that grew into a leading shipping company
The founders of Donsötank recognized the need for transporting liquid fuels along the west coast of Sweden and up the Göta River to fishing communities around lakes Vänern and Vättern. The first cargo vessels were modified fishing boats. Development quickly progressed, and we began investing in increasingly advanced tankers. Over the years, the business has evolved into operating a state-of-the-art fleet of energy-efficient tankers, specialized in transporting liquid cargo across Europe.
Today we are about 130 employees
On a human level, Donsötank is characterized by the fact that we are close colleagues and have a flat organization where we want to be open to new approaches, innovative technical solutions and progressive development together. We want to offer our employees opportunities for development and interesting work tasks, which we believe will result in many colleagues staying with the company for a long time.
